Oxon Sure Grip
Anti slip treatment
for use on Terrazzo, Granite, Concrete, Cement, Marble, Kota, Kapda, Ceramic, Vitrified, Porcelain Tiles and floors
What is “Oxon Sure Grip” and how does it work?
This product is an invisible floor chemical treatment (not a polymer coating), the effects of which can only be seen under a microscope. Following treatment, the floor is immediately rinsed with clean cold water to ensure no chemicals remain on the surface.
This chemical treatment alters the existing surface by creating thousands of micro-pores. When wet these micro-pores are filled with water and the pressure of footfall squeezes out the water creating hundreds of vacuum cups sucking the foot onto the surface thus radically reducing the possibility of the foot slipping.

Key Features of “Oxon Sure Grip” Treatment
Applications:
Oxon Anti-slip Treatment APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.WHERE TO USE
Oxon anti-slip treatment can be used on Ceramic, Marble, Terracotta and Terrazzo tiles; traditional mosaic, Terrazzo floors, granite, stone, Kota, Kapda, concrete and similar types of materials. Also suitable for enamel/porcelain baths and shower trays It should not be applied to plastic, wood, acrylic, epoxy, polyurethane, vinyl, linoleum, glass and similar types of products.
2.IMPORTANT INFORMATION When the treatment is applied to unglazed, low polished or white enamel surfaces there is very little or no change in the appearance of the original material but when applied to glazed or highly polished surfaces there will be some loss of shine depending on the quality and hardness of the particular surface being treated. When a whole area is treated any reduction in shine does not become so noticeable. Materials that are black or contain a very dark binding matrix will probably contain an artificial colorant. This colour additive may react with the chemical resulting in a fading of the black or very dark colour. The "Pre Application Test" advised will help determine whether or not the above mentioned factors are likely to occur.
3.COVERAGE Typical coverage 250 ml = 50 ft.
4.EQUIPMENT: Wear suitable eye protection, gloves, and footwear For application use a non-absorbent mop (e.g. micro fibre type) sponge or soft brush
5.PREPARATION -Wash the floor to remove any dirt or grease deposits present on the surface. Use plastic brush if needed. -Dry the surface with a clean cloth
6.APPLICATION PROCEDURE
I. Pour the chemical into a plastic bucket or container and wet the mop, sponge or brush applicator with the product. Always avoid pouring the product directly onto the surface being treated. ii. Immediately spread the chemical over the surface in a uniform manner, do not allow them to form ponds iii. Work the material into the surface for 1 to 2 minutes; leave to stand for 8 to 12 minutes to allow the reaction to take place. During this period agitate the chemical every 2 to 3 minutes and do not allow the product to dry out on the surface.
iv. Repeat this process over an area that is manageable for the exposure period.
v. At the end of the reaction period thoroughly wash down the surface with clean cold water to remove the expanded material and leave a clean surface.
vi. Hard dense surfaces or glazed tiles may require additional applications to produce the desired level of slip resistance. Note: Do not apply in high temperatures or on hot surfaces to avoid premature drying before the product has activated
7.CARE & MAINTENANCE I. In order to benefit from the treatment it is important to maintain good standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times and therefore regular cleaning is essential. ii. Floors should be cleaned with a good quality cleaning agent containing emulsifying properties to keep the micro-pores created free from the buildup of dirt and grease etc iii.The treated floors should not be sealed with a wax based cleaning agent or impregnator. Non film forming impregnators can be used after the treatment has been completed. iv. Bathtubs, shower trays and pool decks should be cleaned regularly to avoid a buildup of body fat tissue in the micro-pores.
